UNE Partnerships are looking for a passionate Educator to deliver engaging and effective teaching and assessment support for learners undertaking the Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (HLT33021).

About the role:
The Educator will deliver weekly learning content and assessment guidance sessions in a classroom environment during school terms, and be available for individual support via phone, email and online during agreed hours.
Based at schools within the Greater Sydney region, our learners are completing this course as part of their HSC studies.
The position is part time, permanent (2-3 days per week negotiable for the right candidate).
The successful candidate must be available to work on Tuesdays during school term to deliver weekly sessions.
Location is flexible within Greater Sydney on a hybrid working arrangement – work from home when not working at the schools.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning, preparing and delivering weekly face-to-face workshops based on UNE Partnerships content
- Assessing student work in accordance with UNE Partnerships assessment guidelines
- Initiating contact with students considered at risk on a regular basis to review progress and assist them to overcome barriers to completion
- Developing and monitoring Learning Support Plans for students with diverse needs
- Supporting online learners across other UNE Partnerships health related qualifications.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have a current:
- TAE40116 and/or a higher qualification in the field of Adult or Vocational Education,
- Vocational qualifications and/or tertiary degree in the allied / primary health care discipline area,
- Industry experience working in a relevant health care setting, and
- Working With Children’s Check (WWCC)
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience in delivery and assessment of VET programs to individuals and groups
- Competency in using Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle) and video conferencing or virtual classroom systems (such as Zoom)
- Demonstrated understanding of learning principles and engagement strategies to support a diverse community of learners.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) (desirable but not essential).
