CMR | Cornerstone Medical Recruitment
Posted 24 days ago
Are you passionate about working with young people and their families? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join a supportive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in beautiful regional Victoria. We're seeking a Registered Nurse (preferred), Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist who is ready to make a meaningful impact in either Swan Hill or Kyneton.
In this role, you'll work directly with children and young people aged up to 25 years, providing therapeutic case management and comprehensive mental health assessments. Presentations include moderate to high-risk concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, school refusal, autism, and eating disorders. Many clients require medium- to long-term engagement, making this a deeply rewarding position where you can build strong therapeutic relationships and support long-term recovery.
What's on Offer
- $10,000 Relocation Package: Includes 4 weeks' accommodation and support with removalist costs
- Weekly supervision with a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
- Strong internal training and development program, including:
- Family-Based Therapy
- Eating Disorder treatment
- Autism spectrum support
- Co-morbidity and child/adolescent psychiatry
- Mindful Psychiatry Course starting in 2025
- Salary packaging + superannuation
- Supportive team culture with regular intake meetings, clinical supervision, and professional development pathways
About the Locations
Swan Hill is a rural town with access to a local hospital, GPs, and schools. This role would suit a confident clinician with strong CAMHS or acute mental health experience, able to work autonomously as the sole onsite clinician (1.8 FTE budget available).
Kyneton, while still regional, is more accessible - just over an hour from both Bendigo and Melbourne. This location offers the benefits of a regional lifestyle with proximity to urban amenities. Current staff commute from Bendigo and enjoy the relaxed pace and community spirit.
About You
We're looking for a passionate clinician with:
- AHPRA Nursing registration
- Minimum 3 years' experience in mental health, ideally with children and young people
- Strong skills in case coordination, risk assessment, and therapeutic engagement
- A genuine commitment to youth mental health and regional communities
Experience working with eating disorders or autism is desirable but not essential-comprehensive training is available for the right candidate.
You'll be supported to transition into the role with mentorship, structured onboarding, and opportunities to develop specialist skills in youth mental health.
If you're ready to take the next step in your CAMHS career and are open to a rewarding regional opportunity, apply now or get in touch to learn more.
