The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer - Renewables to join our growing team in the renewable energy sector. Based in Geelong, this role focuses on solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across large-scale projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop large-scale PV system layouts
Conduct PVsyst simulations and performance assessments
Perform short circuit and load flow analysis (including using PowerFactory)
Carry out insulation coordination studies (including PSCAD)
Design and review protection systems
Perform DC and AC arc flash assessments
Support basic project and design management tasks
Prepare bills of materials and basis of design documentation
Deliver detailed DC design work
Conduct feasibility studies and performance reviews of solar/BESS projects
About You
Suitable applicants will be able to / have:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Develop large-scale PV system layouts
Conduct PVsyst simulations and performance assessments
Perform short circuit and load flow analysis (including using PowerFactory)
Carry out insulation coordination studies (including PSCAD)
Design and review protection systems
Perform DC and AC arc flash assessments
Support basic project and design management tasks
Prepare bills of materials and basis of design documentation
Deliver detailed DC design work
Conduct feasibility studies and performance reviews of solar/BESS projects
Problem solving / analytical skills;
Good communication skills (both verbal and written);
Familiar with relevant Australian Standards;
Good interpersonal skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment;
The remuneration for this role is between $82,000 - 92,000 (inclusive of Superannuation)
