About the Role:

In this diverse and hands-on role, you’ll work across a range of financial functions, supporting small to medium businesses and their associated entities. You'll need a strong foundation in both financial and management accounting with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, including

Preparing tax return documentation with accuracy and compliance

Monthly and balance sheet reconciliations

Managing accounts payable/receivable and general ledger tasks

Supporting month-end close including reporting, accruals, and journal entries

Compliance with accounting standards and audit preparation

Handling payroll, BAS preparation, and fixed asset register

Preparing detailed management reports and financial forecasts

Reconciling bank and credit card accounts

Identifying and resolving discrepancies

Assisting with budgeting and other ad hoc financial duties

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (or equivalent experience)

CPA or CA certified

Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial and management accounting (ideally in public practice)

Strong working knowledge of MYOB or Xero

Previous bookkeeping experience

Comfortable using AI technology in accounting practices

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills

A team player with great interpersonal skills and client-facing experience
