About the role

IGnite Accounting and Financial Services is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team in our Manly office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting and advisory services to our growing portfolio of small and medium-sized business clients across a range of industries.

What you'll be doing

Manage and administer your portfolio of clients, providing technical support, feedback and guidance to team members assisting with your clients

Prepare and manage accounts, income tax returns, and BAS returns, along with clear and concise work papers to support the work performed

Handle various tax matters such as CGT calculations, FBT and Div7a, trust distributions & GST reconciliations

Use your technical expertise to provide advice to complex business groups

Perform trust and company establishments and manage registrations

What we're looking for

At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a professional services or advisory firm

Excellent technical accounting skills and a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations

Proven experience in providing strategic financial advice and recommendations to clients

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues

A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Relevant accounting qualifications, such as CA or CPA, are highly desirable
