My client is an established accounting firm who are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Business Services practice. This firm has a network that expands across the globe and are currently looking to expand its Sydney team. They service a diverse range of clients from start-ups, family groups, SMEs to international subsidiaries.

Some responsibilities include:

Managing handful of clients

Review work of junior staff on-site and off-shore

Preparation and review of income tax returns for all entities and all other compliance requirements

Finalising complex financial accounts

Preparation and analysis of management reports

Provision of tax advice on issues such as FBT, Div7A, CGT, GST, PSI and more

Tax planning and forecasting, succession planning and restructuring advice

Train, mentor and delegate to team members

Setting and monitoring KPIs, WIP, productivity, budgets and deadlines

Providing support to Principal in relation to client management and achieving team objectives

Applicants:

Experience working in a Senior Accountant capacity in public practice accounting

Approximately 4 or more years’ experience in public practice

CA/CPA qualified or upon completion

Strong technical understanding of SME matters and able to advise on related issues

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Solutions-oriented mindset and able to articulate information of varying complexities to stakeholders effectively
