It has never been a more exciting time to join the Murdoch University Alumni and Philanthropy team, with some very exciting announcements to come which will allow you to help shape our future during our 50th Anniversary Year. You'll be part of a dynamic group managing various philanthropic initiatives, including major gifts, bequests, annual giving, capital campaigns, and research support. Your New Role!
Working alongside the Senior Philanthropy Manager and the Director, you will be key in developing and maintaining major donor relationships ($50,000 to $1 million). Your primary responsibilities as the Philanthropy Manager will involve overseeing various philanthropic campaigns aimed at supporting the university's strategic plan and priorities.

In our supportive office culture, you'll not only attend meetings and events but also actively participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute your insights to various initiatives/projects. This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $109K - $125K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Graduate qualifications with five years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or fundraising (higher education experience preferable).
  • Proven success in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding significant donor relationships across individuals, corporate entities, and trusts/foundations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, required for drafting presentations and proposals, in person donor presentations, team meetings and other activities as they arise.
  • Exceptional writing abilities, crafting persuasive communications, proposals, and cases for diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to building and maintaining relationships, coupled with expertise in high-value philanthropic strategies, tax laws, and privacy compliance following CASE guidelines.
