Step Into a Key Leadership Pathway in Allied Health Administration
Permanent Part-Time | 20–24 Hours Per Week | Career Development Opportunity
Are you an experienced medical or allied health administrator looking for a long-term role where your leadership potential is recognised and nurtured?
Essendon Physio Group is seeking a committed and capable professional to join our front desk team in a pivotal role that blends outstanding reception service with future senior administration responsibilities. If you're ready to take the next step in your career — and grow into a leadership position within a thriving, purpose-driven practice — we’d love to hear from you.
About You
You’re not new to this. You’ve worked in medical or allied health settings and understand the rhythms and demands of clinical reception and administrative operations. You bring a calm, proactive approach to your work and can confidently manage a busy front desk while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
You’re also:
Experienced in client-facing administrative roles in a health setting
Committed to a long-term position where you can develop and grow
Organised and proactive, with exceptional attention to detail
Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems (Cliniko/CliniqApps experience a bonus)
Motivated by a clear pathway to leadership in practice operations
If you're someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving systems, and being part of a team that values both excellence and empathy — you will thrive here.
The Role
You’ll begin as a Receptionist, mastering the essential processes that support our clinical team and clients every day. With support and mentorship, your role will evolve into a Senior Administrator position, contributing to operational workflows, team support, and future business efficiencies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Reception duties: appointment coordination, payment processing, client communications
Administrative excellence: daily reporting, stakeholder communication, task prioritisation
Leadership readiness: learning and improving business operations and supporting team systems
Team collaboration: assisting the operations lead and director in achieving clinic-wide goals
The position is part-time, 20–24 hours per week, including one in every 3–4 Saturday mornings. There is flexibility in scheduling and opportunity for growth over time.
