Join the team at Blue Mountains Pipe and Civil as a full-time Excavator Operator. Based in Greater Sydney and South Coast Region, you will play a key role in the construction and civil works projects undertaken by our growing company. As an experienced Excavator Operator, you will use your skills and expertise to safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery on site.

What you'll be doing

Operating 3ton - 35ton excavators

Trench excavations, installation of piping and embedment materials, backfill and compaction

Construction and installation of shoring controls

Bulk and detailed excavations for structures

Move and load materials and complete a variety of construction tasks

Road and pavement construction

Lifting and shifting of materials

Perform daily prestart inspections and reporting

Work collaboratively with the construction team to complete projects on time and to a high standard

Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

Participate in ongoing training to continually develop your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery in a construction or civil works environment

Relevant and in date qualifications, SOAs, VOCs, Certificate in Civil Construction Plant Operations or equivalent

Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider construction crew

Knowledge of construction site safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
