As the Safety Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining safety procedures at our Carole Park manufacturing facility. We’re looking for someone practical, proactive, and confident in handling day-to-day safety tasks. You’ll work closely with the team on the ground to make sure safety standards are followed, risks are managed, and everyone goes home safely each day. This is a hands-on, site-based role where your focus will be on building a strong safety culture through daily support and guidance.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments and support our team with practical actions that help make us safer.
• Implement and lead WHS training and safety protocols.
• Stay up to date with OHS legislation, advising on changes that affect operations.
• Assist with Investigation of incidents and develop corrective actions with teams to mitigate future risks.
• Onboarding of new employees, completing safety inductions and factory walkthroughs.
• Act as the Fire Safety Advisor, ensuring compliance, conducting evacuation drills, and training.
• Partner with the leadership team to develop and recommend safety initiatives and coordinate audits, supporting a culture of safety and a secure working environment.
• Maintain safety documentation and assist in achieving ISO45001 compliance.
• Manage MSDS records and first aid supplies, ensuring first aid officer training.
• Coordinate OHS committee meetings, Toolbox Talks, and Safety Talks.
To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:
· Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
· Very strong MS Office Suite skills and other software packages.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout all levels of the business.
· Knowledge and understanding of OHS Legislative Framework
· WH&S qualifications are essential
· Experience with ISO certifications will be highly regarded
