About the role
We are seeking an experienced Student Services Officer to join our Student Services team and provide administration support to the College. This diverse and engaging role serves as the first point of contact for the public, College families, and students, offering a welcoming presence and ensuring smooth day-to-day interactions. Excellent customer service skills, time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team are vital to this role.
Duties
As a Student Services Officer, you will:
Provide a high level of customer service to all customers including greeting all visitors professionally, answering general questions where possible and referring specific enquiries to other staff where appropriate
Receive incoming calls, take and distribute all messages efficiently to relevant staff, students and the College community
Provide a high level of customer and administrative support to the student body, prioritising their needs over other tasks
Assist in arranging student events and outdoor education camps
Process cash and eftpos payments
Undertake various administrative tasks as required
Skills and experience required
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience in a similar role within an independent school environment is highly desirable
Well-developed organisational and time management skills
Ability to demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Possession of or the ability to acquire a current Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
Possession of or the ability to acquire a current First Aid & CPR certificate (desirable)
