We currently seeking an experienced and reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our friendly team at G Auto Fyshwick on a full-time basis.

Full time hours – Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm (Fridays as required)

Duties and Responsibilities:

ACT & NSW Roadworthy and Rego Checks (advantageous)

Log Book Servicing & Scheduled Maintenance

Vehicle Upgrades, Modifications & Suspension Replacement

Carrying out a variety of repairs/maintenance on a variety of vehicles

Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems

Tyre fitting and wheel balancing

Preventative maintenance

Log book maintenance and scheduled servicing

Troubleshooting, diagnosis and fault finding

Completing basic paperwork including writing up repair orders

Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles

Occasional minor detailing

Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe workspace and workshop

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Automotive Light Vehicle Trade Certificate is essential

Honest, Hardworking & Reliable

Current C Class Driver’s License

Must have own Hand Tools

Excellent mechanical aptitude

Experience with auto-electrical not essential but looked upon favourably

Authorised Vehicle Examiner (ACT) not essential but highly desirable

Authorised Inspection Scheme Examiner (NSW) not essential highly desirable
