About the business and the role

Carmel School is a vibrant Jewish day school, and one of Perth's highest-performing Kindy – Year 12 schools. Located in Dianella, our student body comprises around 400 students and we have just over 100 staff employed. The School is seeking to fill the role of Accounts Payable Manager to join the Finance team. Our expectation is that staff will maintain the School's high standards and strive to achieve excellence in all that they do.

This permanent position is offered on a part-time (approx. 0.30 FTE) basis, with a six-month probation period.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The Accounts Payable role will include, but is not limited to:

Managing the end to end accounts payable process

Maintain Procedures

Ensure segregations of duties and correct governance in place

Obtaining appropriate levels of approval on all invoices

Processing invoices into the system

Vendor reconciliations

Weekly and Monthly EFT payments

Accurate allocation of invoices to correct GL accounts

Manage vendor enquiries in relation to outstanding accounts

End of Month requirements - for Accounts Payable and Asset Depreciation

Grant submissions to government and School bodies for funding

Ad hoc projects/duties

Skills and experience

Support the School's Vision, Purpose and Values

Prior experience in an accounts payable and grants role

Excellent interpersonal skills

Accurate and timely data entry skills and excellent attention to detail

Experience with Tass software will be highly regarded, but not essential

Must have or be able to obtain a Working With Children (WWC) card

Must have or be able to obtain a current Police Clearance
