We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team in our busy, modern, boutique dental practice in Bondi Junction on a full-time basis.

We value individuals who have a diverse experience in chair side assisting, and preference is given to those with at least two years experience in implant assisting, ‘all on x implants’ and cosmetic dentistry. The successful candidate will be filling a well-rounded & varied role; performing all aspects of general dental assisting. You will also be integral to the sterilization of instruments, infection control & general hygiene of the practice.

In this role you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

Providing chairside assistance to the dentist throughout procedures. This includes clearing the patient’s mouth of saliva or dental materials using suction or other appropriate equipment.

Assisting the dentist for complex surgical and cosmetic procedures which require high levels of concentration and stamina

Cleaning and sterilising instruments before and after treatment; completing maintenance tasks daily to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic

Developing and maintaining relationships with patients and clients

Prepare patients & facilities for dental treatment as directed

Maintaining the clinic environment to be clean and presentable at all times

The successful applicant will bring to the practice the following attributes:

At least 2 years of chair-side experience in a Dental Assistant role is necessary for this position.

Excellent professional presentation, highly developed communication and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to be punctual and reliable

Be able to work efficiently under pressure and adapt easily

Have a drive to learn and flourish within the role

Be a self-motivated individual who takes initiative and has an eye for detail

The position is for 4 days a week (38 hours), with full weekday availability. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday availability is essential.

We are located in the heart of Bondi Junction and are a 5-minute walk away from the Bondi Junction interchange where buses and trains come in. There is also commuter parking available in the Westfield, and several parking stations nearby.

We have a close-knit staff who work very closely together and are looking for someone who can join our team and help us to provide the high standard of effort and care that we strive to give our patients daily.
