The Role

Based at their £60M Melbourne facility, you'll lead a team of talented engineers while working closely with production. This is a hands-on leadership position with potential for global engagement as the company continues its impressive growth trajectory.

What you’ll be doing:

Lead and develop a team of 7-8 engineers (mechanical, electrical and BOM specialists)

Providing structure and consistency while keeping pace with customised project demands

Troubleshooting when things go off-track — your experience will matter

Working shoulder-to-shoulder with production — not from behind a screen

Supporting a broader strategy of reducing lead times and improving cost efficiency

Who this would suit:

You’ve worked in HVAC&R — ideally with chillers or complex mechanical systems

You’re comfortable reading CAD and seeing what’s wrong before it becomes a problem (Inventor, AutoCAD or SolidWorks will feel familiar)

You know your ASHRAE, ANSI and ASME standards

You’ve led teams before — not just formally, but in the way people look to you when things need fixing

You stay calm, communicate clearly, and focus on progress
