We are seeking Maritime Engineers, Project Management, Systems Engineering or ILS Engineering experience to join our Canberra team. A strong knowledge base and great communication are critical in this role, as is the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external clients.

To be eligible to apply for the role you will need to have Australian Citizenship and an active/have held a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.

Qualifications & experience

A min of 3 years’ experience in a Defence project setting.

Tertiary qualification in a STEM discipline, and/or significant experience in Defence applications.

Tasks & responsibilities

Providing expert advice and support across Maritime Engineering, Project Management, Systems Engineering, or ILS Engineering functions

Supporting the delivery of Defence capability projects, ensuring outcomes align with technical and program requirements

Other Roles and Responsibilities:

Assisting in the development of engineering and project management documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports

Contributing to risk management activities, performance analysis, and technical assurance reviews

Assisting in the development and review of ILS and engineering artefacts

Engaging with key stakeholders across Defence and industry

Supporting project governance activities and milestone reporting

Identifying process improvements and contributing to internal best practice initiatives

Participating in technical and project management and design reviews, workshops, and forums

Key Skills and Experience:

Demonstrated experience in Maritime Engineering, Project Management, Systems Engineering or ILS Engineering related roles.

Ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.

Relevant industry experience is desirable.

The ability to work to tight deadlines.
