Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Engineering Manager to lead the planning, delivery, and management of civil works for NBN infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating field teams, ensuring compliance, and liaising with multiple stakeholders to meet project and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

 Plan, direct, and coordinate engineering operations for pit and pipe construction, fibre

installation support, and telecommunications infrastructure rollout.

 Develop engineering strategies and project plans to ensure safety, cost efficiency, and

delivery against milestones.

 Liaise with project partners including UGL, Ventia, Downer, Fulton Hogan, and

ServiceStream for seamless execution and reporting.

 Oversee team performance, subcontractor activities, and project documentation.

 Monitor budgets, timelines, and site progress to meet commercial and operational

targets.

 Review technical plans and supervise compliance with construction standards and NBN

specifications.

 Maintain WHS, environmental, and regulatory standards across all work zones.

 Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure communication and

alignment on project goals.

Required Skills and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.

 Minimum 5+ years of experience managing engineering or infrastructure delivery

projects.

 Strong background in civil construction—preferably in utilities or telecommunications.

 Experience supervising field teams, coordinating with clients and head contractors, and

reporting on project KPIs.

 Proficiency in tools such as MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite.

 Clear understanding of WHS legislation and quality standards in infrastructure delivery.

 Willingness to work in regional areas and available for weekend or after-hours work

when required.

 Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
