About the role

Copper Bar and Grill Steakhouse is looking for an aspiring Restaurant Supervisor/Assistant Manager to join the team at the restaurant in South Townsville. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of our vibrant establishment. This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration and great benefits.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Restaurant Manager in leading, motivating and developing a talented front-of-house team

Ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive dining experience for all guests

Monitoring staff performance and providing coaching and feedback to help the team develop their skills

Coordinating schedules, rostering and time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage

Handling customer queries, feedback and complaints in a professional and courteous manner

Implementing and enforcing company policies, procedures and safety standards

Assisting with inventory management, stock control and budget monitoring

Supporting the Restaurant Manager in achieving financial and operational targets

What we're looking for

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers, staff and management

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in using POS systems and inventory management software

Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and liquor licensing requirements

A friendly, customer-focused attitude and a passion for hospitality
