A part time position (days negotiable but likely 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day preferably) for a Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant has become available in our pharmacy and we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic person to join our team. We are continuing to develop professional services in our pharmacy and so the role of our dispensary assistants is becoming more important as we transition away from dispensing and allowing our dispensary staff to take the reins.

The role will involve supporting the dispensary, dispensing, ordering stock, unpacking orders, managing PBS claim, arranging sharps and unwanted medicine collections, managing sachet packing patients via off site service, very limited blister packing (5 patients currently) and also occasional cross over to general pharmacy duties in store.

The successful applicant will have a keen attitude for organisation, time management, attention to detail and helping people. Hours can be tailored within reason depending on how we structure the role and will be discussed with with applicant. Split roles may be considered depending on candidates.

The pharmacy is family owned and run, with a long standing clientele. This is a great environment to build customer relations and achieve a high degree of job satisfaction. You must be motivated and willing to work hard, but have an attitude of enjoying your work.

The Pharmacy is within a small shopping centre at Tooronga. You will work closely with the pharmacists and will have good support in the role. We expect the successful applicant to be a self starter as well as a good instruction taker.

The position is for a 30hr week. Experience in pharmacy is preferred but may also be an opportunity for someone willing to learn and get involved in the pharmacy industry.

Have dispensary experience, with a certificate preferable but not essential

Other preferred attributes:

Have used or are familiar with FRED

Have managed DAA's, blisters or sachets

Are technologically competent

Required experience:

Pharmacy assistant: 2 years

Dispensary assistant: 1 year
