About the Role

We are seeking an Experienced Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality engineering documentation, working closely with engineers and project stakeholders, and supporting the smooth delivery of a diverse range of projects. Your technical expertise in civil design and proficiency with industry-standard software will play a key role in upholding our reputation for engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting:
• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD; Revit experience will be highly regarded.
• Apply advanced 3D visualisation skills to create accurate technical documentation.
• Manage drafting tasks independently, ensuring timely delivery in line with project milestones.

Collaboration & Leadership:
• Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and local authorities to resolve design challenges.
• Mentor junior drafting staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge-sharing.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all drawings comply with Australian Standards, company protocols, and client requirements.
• Identify and proactively resolve design discrepancies or potential risks in documentation.

Revisions & Innovation:
• Efficiently incorporate design changes and updates from stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive process improvement.
• Leverage knowledge of local materials, with an openness to exploring new or alternative materials.

Key Requirements

• Qualifications: Diploma or Certificate in CAD Drafting (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in civil engineering drafting, ideally across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Technical Skills:
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of civil design principles, including earthworks, drainage, and utilities.
• Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
