You’ve delivered payroll and workforce system projects before. You know what great looks like - because you’ve helped design it, build it, test it, and roll it out. Now you’re looking for your next big challenge: a role where your deep domain knowledge across payroll, time tracking, and rostering is valued, and where you can make a measurable impact.

In this role, you’ll join a team implementing Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Rostering for large, multi-industry clients. You’ll take the lead in understanding how people are paid, scheduled, and tracked, working with HR, finance, and operations stakeholders to translate business needs into clear system requirements.

You’ll be at the heart of the project lifecycle - mapping current processes, shaping future-state workflows, supporting data migration and integrations, writing test scenarios, conducting UAT, and ensuring the payroll function is ready for go-live.

You’ll also play a critical role post-implementation: supporting parallel runs, troubleshooting, documenting new processes, and training end users so the solution sticks.

This isn’t just about gathering requirements, it’s about owning the business side of complex transformations, and being the go-to advisor for how payroll, time, and rostering should work in practice.

Who you’ll work for:

A fast-growing, Sydney-based tech consultancy delivering high-impact payroll implementations across retail, education, airlines, insurance, and mining. You’ll work with experienced project teams, benefit from a tailored development plan, and receive up to $10,000 per year in professional development support. Enjoy a hybrid working model (3 days in-office, 2 from home) and the chance to work on projects that genuinely challenge and grow your skills.

What you’ll need:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on payroll, rostering, or workforce management systems.

• Strong knowledge of payroll systems.

• Experience supporting system implementation, data migration, UAT, and go-live readiness

• Solid understanding of payroll compliance, award interpretation, and rostering complexities
