Job description - Administration Assistant
Bannister In Home Care is seeking to fill a full-time Administration Assistant position for our Tweed Heads office. This role is suited to someone with experience in aged care or nursing, is reliable and able to work well in a team.
About Us
Bannister In Home Care family-owned service provider that was established in 2013. In 2017 we were approved as a provider of Home Care Packages and NDIS supports. We pride ourselves on delivering professional and affordable in-home aged and disability supports.
Our Queensland operation provides in home care services to people in the NSW Northern Rivers, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast communities.
We are currently looking for staff who are friendly, positive and reliable to help us continue to deliver high quality care.
About this opportunity
As our Administration Assistant you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of care services, managing client records, supporting the care team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our care services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Answering incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner
Fielding new client and caregiver enquiries over the phone
Managing incoming emails
Processing client expenses
Managing allied health referrals and client purchases
Providing administrative support to office team, service manager, care coordinators and RN's
Reviewing and auditing and updating client information as per policy and guidelines
Providing administrative support to the office team and coordinators

Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in the aged care industry preferred.
Qualification in a related field (preferred) or equivalent combination of work experience in a similar role and/or industry experience.
Essential Criteria
Have a sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
Have a sound knowledge of Home Care Package Program (HCP) Operational Guidelines
Have a sound knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguards Commission Practice Standards
Current NDIS Worker Screening card
Have proficient computer skills Apple iOS, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Be flexible, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure to think on your feet with shifting priorities in an ever-changing environment.
Current NSW/QLD Drivers license
Full working rights in Australia
