In this role, you'll take charge of running service autonomously for small events and ensure the highest standards of food quality as per Chapa's standards.
We're looking for someone who is a team player, is eager to grow and learn, and is comfortable driving in Sydney. If that's you, let's create unforgettable events and a growing career together!
You'll work closely with our team to manage and inspire our team of chefs, overseeing all kitchen activities, including:
Ensure all prepared dishes meet the high standards required by Chapa.
Run kitchen service on your own during small events/ private chef events
Manage and supervise Casual Chefs
Manage prep kitchen and small to large events
Implement and Check prep for each shift
Place orders utilising different platforms
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and ensuring the highest standard of produce is supplied
Establish and maintain relationships with clients & guests
Assist manage a team & motivate junior staff through mentorship and a positive attitude
Assist food and wages costs management and any other KPI’s as directed by management
About You
15 years' experience as a chef
NSW Driver's Licence
Experience in hatted restaurants
Experience in event catering is preferred
Experience in different cuisines inc. modern Australian
Proven ability to effectively lead and problem solve in a variety of situations with a flexible leadership style.
Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to increase efficiency and productivity
Have a love for food and a good palate
Experience managing a kitchen team
Completion of industry-approved studies in Commercial Cookery
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the latest trends in the industry, food and events
Computer skills, including Excel workbooks
At least 4 years’ experience in a similar position
Knowledge of Sydney's streets and local areas to ensure efficient event logistics and timely deliveries.
