Foreman - Carpenter Full time position plus Fuel card

THE ROLE

We are seeking motivated Foremen - Carpenters and Carpenters to join our team on a permanent basis.

This is a site-based on the tools management role where you may be assigned to work on projects in and around Brisbane. You will be running and working on projects that range from renovations of established residences to new residential builds, with a focus on quality above all else.

This is your opportunity to gain valuable experience and knowledge working in a detail-orientated, quality-driven building team with an excellent industry reputation, reporting directly to the construction managers.

KEY ROLE ATTRIBUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Successfully deliver projects from pre-construction through to defect liability, handover and even ongoing maintenance

This is a hands-on role where you will be both ‘on the tools’ and overseeing a team of subcontractors on-site. A desire to want to still be on the tools is essential.

Interpret building plans, engineer reports, specifications and NCC;

Supervise subcontractors;

Slab set outs and from works

Check work and subcontractor performance in relation to company management system: site safety and environmental compliance.

To be aware of, identify, and bring to the attention of their supervisor any non-conformances with agreed and appropriate procedures, quality, WHS, environmental.

Prepare SWMS for non-general tasks if required;

QA check building works;

program and schedule upcoming works.

EXPERIANCE

to have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a foreman / carpenter position.

Fully qualified carpentry certificate

Strong track record in residential construction.

Experience or understanding of construction detail resolution.

Experience in doors, locks, windows, metalworks and finishing trades.

Good knowledge of basic plumbing, mechanical and electrical services.

Excellent attention to detail, quality and finish.

Understanding of construction sequences.

Ability to think through issues and resolve problems.

Ability to communicate instructions to other team members or sub-trades.

Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

to be well presented, with strong time management skills, excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn and teach.

High degree of English proficiency.

Works well both in a team and independently, always seeing tasks through to completion.

Their own vehicle, active driver's license and white card; and

Australian working rights.

The successful applicant will be Paid will be based on Experience along with
