About the role

M&L civil contractors' is seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Operator to join our team in North Lakes, Queensland. As a casual Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects by operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operating and maintaining a range of plant and equipment, including excavators, loaders, graders and compaction equipment
• Conducting pre-start checks and completing daily logs and checklists to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Assisting with the set-up and removal of equipment on site as required
• Working collaboratively with the broader construction team to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience in a similar plant operator role, ideally within the construction industry
• Competent in the operation of a variety of heavy machinery and equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Commitment to safety and a demonstrated understanding of safe work practices
• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence and relevant plant operator licenses/certificates
