About the business and the role

Aurum Contracting is a privately owned mid size Civil Contractor, who provides expertise to traditional and renewable energy projects (wind & solar). We are seeking Multi-ticketed Plant Operators to join our team in casual full time roles on Renewable Energy Projects Central and North QLD working rosters e.g. 14/7, Note: these are not Brisbane based roles.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Perform all tasks relating to Plant Operations as required by the project:

Work as part of a team in various civil works e.g. road construction, bulk excavation, drainage, trenching, culverts, lay down and pad construction, erosion and sediment control installations

Skills and experience

Essential Criteria:

Ability to provide evidence of RIIs for Plant: e.g. Excavators, Loaders, Water Carts, Moxy's, Tippers, Skid Steer (must be RII no OHS tickets accepted)

Must be available for an immediate start

Construction White Card (must have a physical card, no SOAs accepted)

Current QLD Drivers License (license verification will be undertaken)

Be able to provide evidence of at least 3 years experience in a similar role

Current verifiable references. No referee will be contacted without discussions with the potential candidate

Ability to provide documented proof of right to work in Australia

Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol testing and health screening

Must be willing/able to work a 14/7 roster, work is seven days a week, 11.5 hour days

Ability and willingness to undertake online and face to face training and inductions immediately

Must have a 'smart phone'

Ability and willingness to complete daily project documentation

Ability to work on remote sites and rosters which include weekends

Strong safety awareness

Desirable

HC or above Drivers license
