The Shire of Murray is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sport and Recreation Officer to lead and support programs that inspire participation, promote health and wellbeing, and activate our parks, facilities, and community spaces. This is a full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight. An EBA Level 6 $80,643.83 and $85,977.97 per annum will be offered, depending on skills and experience.

What You'll Do:
Coordinate and deliver the Club Development Program, supporting local sporting clubs to build capacity, improve governance, and thrive long-term.
Develop, implement, and evaluate sport and recreation initiatives that engage diverse community groups.
Collaborate with local clubs, schools, and organisations to build strong partnerships and sustainable programs.
Activate community spaces through events, workshops, and health-focused initiatives
Provide support, advice, and advocacy for local sporting and recreation organisations.
Champion inclusivity, accessibility, and innovation in everything you do.
We want to hear from you if you have
- A passion for community development and promoting active lifestyles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building meaningful relationships.
- Experience in sport and recreation, community engagement, or related fields.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to lead projects from concept to success.
- Relevant qualifications in Sport and Recreation, Community Development, Health Promotion, or equivalent.
