Our client, a well-established CRICOS RTO is seeking a dynamic and proactive Work Placement Student Employer Relationship Manager with a strong understanding of the needs of international students to join them full-time in Melbourne CBD. The role focuses on building strategic industry partnerships that support student work placements and employability outcomes, including internships, vocational placements, and post-study employment, with a focus on navigating work rights and visa conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage employer networks that support both domestic and international student pathways to work.
- Facilitate opportunities for internships, industry placements, and job placements aligned with visa eligibility and training outcomes.
- Educate employers about international student capabilities, visa options and entitlements and post-study employment options.
- Develop and deliver career development workshops and one-on-one support focused on Australian workplace culture, job-readiness, and compliance.
- Collaborate with compliance and academic teams to ensure placements meet regulatory and curriculum requirements.
- Lead employer engagement initiatives such as industry roundtables, career expos, and alumni-employer networking events.
- Track graduate outcomes, prepare reports for audit purposes, and support continuous improvement in student services.
- Stay current with immigration and visa policy changes impacting student employment and industry engagement.
Requirements
- Experience in RTO work placement coordination, career services, employer engagement, or student support-ideally in the international education or RTO sector.
- In-depth knowledge of international student work rights, visa subclasses (particularly 485, 482 and 407), and CRICOS compliance.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with corporate, SME, and community employers.
- Capacity for interstate or international travel when required.
- Excellent communication and cross-cultural sensitivity.
- CRM/database proficiency and strong organizational/reporting skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, International Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
