Are you a seasoned HR professional with strong employee relations experience and enjoy supporting both blue and white-collar workforces?

Join a dynamic, fast-paced organisation located in the heart of Sydney CBD as an Interim HR Business Partner. This likely to be a 2 - 3 month contract whilst they are recruiting another permanent role.

This contract role is required to provide advice and support to the business on a range of complex ER and IR matters, manage a range of Fair Work matters, and support complex EA negotiations.

About the Role
Working closely with an experienced HR Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in delivering hands-on HR support across the business. This is a true generalist role with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, and workplace investigations. You’ll also assist in navigating complex industrial relations matters, working within a unionised environment and supporting the business through EBA-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR guidance and coaching to managers across diverse business units.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Partner with union representatives and contribute to EBA discussions and compliance.
  • Support workforce planning, performance management, and talent initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and internal policies.

About You

  • Proven experience as a HR Business Partner in both blue and white-collar environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law and experience in unionised settings.
  • Solid background in managing employee relations and contributing to industrial negotiations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small HR team and across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
