About the Role
The Business Improvement Lead is an exciting, permanent, full-time position that aligns directly with Council's organisational priority of Business Improvement. The position will implement and drive Council's Service Review Program through supporting the organisation to understand and use Business improvement tools and methodologies while promoting and developing a culture of continuous improvement.
Reporting directly to the Manager - Corporate Performance & Reporting, our ideal applicant will be passionate about Business Improvement and drive culture change through:
- Development, implementation and reinforcement of the organisation's vision, values and culture
- Leading cross-organisational projects and initiatives including defining project scope, collecting, measuring and analysing data and determining solutions
- Consulting with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to deliver Service Reviews and continuous improvement projects across Council
- Supporting the organisation to understand and use business improvement tools and methodologies promoting a culture of continuous improvement

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Improvement related field such as Business Management, Commerce, and Economics; and/or extensive demonstrated experience implementing business improvement principles and methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in guiding and coaching others promoting continuous learning and actively seeking solutions for workplace improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and information exchange within and across work groups in the delivery of outcomes for the community.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa).
