Due to business growth Leongatha RSL is looking to fill the following positions within its kitchen team.

Sous Chef or Experienced Chef

Leongatha is situated in the beautiful South Gippsland Shire approx 1 hour from the outer suburbs of Melbourne and close to beaches,historic towns, bushwalking and many other leisure activities. The Leongatha RSL is a vibrant regional RSL with a steady customer flow. Our business growth is such that we are now looking for a Sous Chef or an experienced chef who is looking to take that next step in the career journey. You will be working with a very motivated team who strive to produce the best results possible.

Qualified Chef or Experienced Cook job tasks and responsibilities

The Applicant will have the following skills and attributes:

A hands on role showing leadership in quality workmanship and brilliant presentation in a fast pace environment

Good time management skills

Upholding policies and procedures with regards to OH&S and quality of work

Stock management and ordering

Assist the Head Chef in all duties as required

Step up in the absence of the Head Chef

Assist with the setting of budgets with wage, food costs and general expenses

Be willing to have input into menu ideas

Available to work nights weekends and including public holidays

We are looking for an applicant who can work as part of a team to help drive the business. Leongatha RSL is going through a transition phase and the incumbent will form an important part of that process.
