Pialba Brake Cutch and Steering is seeking a talented and experienced Qualified Mechanic to join our dynamic family run business in Hervey Bay, Queensland. As a Qualified Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining a repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they are serviced and repaired to the highest standard.

Occasionally, you will be required to interact with our customers to explain repairs when a more technical approach is required, so excellent communication and a genuine appreciation for our clientele is a must.

You will be supported by a front office team who will carry out all quoting, parts orders and invoicing.

This is a full-time position, offering a stable and rewarding career in the automotive industry

What you will be doing:

Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle make and models

Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections

Replacing brake pads, clutch's, rotors

Carry out roadworthy inspections (if able)

Liaise with customers when required to understand their vehicle concerns and provide transparent solutions

Document all work completed and maintain accurate records

Ensure workshop tools and equipment are well maintained and stored safety

Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures

What we're looking for:

Formal qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a related field

Experience as a Qualified Mechanic, ideally in a workshop setting

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve vehicle issues

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly

Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Current Australian manual driver's licence.
