We are proud to be partnering with QBCC to recruit an experienced Senior Human Resource Officer (AO5). Based at the West End office with flexible work-from-home options, this position will play a key role in providing operational HR support across a range of functions.

The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is Queensland’s building industry regulator, working to maintain proper building standards and ensure confidence in the construction sector. About the Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate HR professional looking to contribute to a progressive government agency supporting Queensland’s building industry. This is an initial temporary contract of up to six months, with potential for extension pending business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional HR advice and operational support across a range of workforce matters;
- Manage recruitment and onboarding processes in line with public sector standards;
- Support case management relating to performance, conduct and grievances;
- Develop and maintain HR reports, correspondence and documentation; and
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic workforce initiatives.
Required Experience:
We are seeking a highly organised and responsive HR professional who enjoys working in a dynamic public sector environment.
Essential Experience:
- Experience providing operational HR advice in a government or regulatory body;
- Knowledge of public sector legislation, policies and procedures;
- Strong written communication skills, particularly in preparing briefs, reports and correspondence;
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines; and
- High-level stakeholder engagement skills with a client-focused approach.
