We are seeking a capable and commercially focused Manager – Commercial Operations to support the front end of our consultancy services. Working closely with the COO and broader technical team, this role is responsible for preparing and coordinating inputs for tenders, fee proposals, and project scopes, as well as contributing to business development activities and the pursuit of new project opportunities. It also supports the commercial lifecycle of projects — including invoicing, financial close-out, compliance, and performance reporting across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the preparation of tenders, fee proposals and scopes of work, working closely with technical team members.
Lead and support business development initiatives and client engagement processes.
Oversee project setup, budgeting, invoicing, and commercial close-out activities.
Provide regular reporting and insights to the Executive Team on business and project performance.
Ensure compliance with internal systems and contribute to process improvement and audit readiness.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a commercial, operations, or business services management role within a consulting, planning, or professional services environment.
Strong understanding of fee structures, tendering, and commercial processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage invoicing, financial tracking, and compliance.
Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and administrative teams.
Highly organised, proactive, and confident working independently.
Familiarity with systems such as Xero, WorkflowMax, or similar is highly regarded.
A tertiary qualification in business, project management, planning, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
