Cloud Edge are looking to fill a professional technical consulting role within our business. Cloud Edge provide outsourced IT support to small and medium sized corporate customers. We focus on using the best mix of enterprise hardware and software solutions from vendors such as HP, Sophos, Microsoft, Vmware, Red Hat, Cisco, Barracuda and many others. We are looking for a technical person to join us to continue providing 1st class solutions and support.

Although this position requires technical knowledge of business IT systems such as Microsoft and Linux Servers, Email Systems, Database System, on-Premise and Cloud Based Systems, this position will not suit pure system administrators. You will be providing phone and onsite IT Support to a portfolio of corporate customers who require effective communication to solve their problems and to propose new value adding solutions to their business.

We are looking for a consultant who has completed a University degree (or equivalent), and has relevant experience in IT Support, IT Management or Business IT Consulting already.

Applicants for this position possess or be able to quickly learn the following

Microsoft Servers 2012- 2025, DHCP, DNS, Terminal Services, SQL

Extensive knowledge Office365 and other mail systems

Cloud Based Systems Microsoft Azure, AWS – other

Firewall experience and knowledge

Virtualisation experience Vmware, hyperV

Full time - Salary based on experience $65,000 - $80,000 (plus super, plus incentive schemes such as ‘on-call’)

Ability to articulate thoughts and technical solutions to non-technical people

Excellent communication skills whether face to face, via phone or written

Self-motivation to provide professional solutions to corporate networks

Operate autonomously and as a part of a team depending on the project or task at hand

Strong theoretical knowledge in corporate IT systems

Willingness for continued improvement and ongoing education

Someone who can embrace change

Office 365 Experience in necessary

Technical qualifications in Microsoft Servers, Azure, VMware, Cisco, Linux or other networking technologies would enhance the application
