With a new project launching in the coming weeks, they now require a civil SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER to join the team ASAP!

About the Role

As SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER you will be working FIFO 2/1 roster ex-Perth (11.5 hr days) to a mine infrastructure civil project on WA’s north-west coastline. Flights, accommodation and meals will be provided in a mine camp environment. The project itself involves construction of a stockyard area for a new iron ore reclaimer so encompasses elements of bulk and detailed earthworks, concrete footings, structures, underground services and drainage installation. You will be responsible for the management, planning and execution of a large package of civil works and provide technical input to site construction activities working in close liaison with the Project Manager and site team. The SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER will oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved, while monitoring budgets, schedules, and material specifications to maintain tight project controls. You will lead field engineering activities including construction sequencing, QA/QC, and troubleshooting, while also managing cost forecasting and reporting. On offer will be a terrific remuneration packageCIRCA $180K Base + 40% site uplift & Super.

Experience, Qualifications and Other Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 6-8 years of site-based construction experience as PROJECT ENGINEER/SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER managing large Earthworks and/or Concrete FRP scopes of work.
• Proven success working for prominent Civil Contractors in Australia (*Not EPCM/Client organizations)
• Experience on Earthworks and/or Concrete FRP projects on mine site infrastructure or industrial developments is essential (ie. site preparation, rail formation, haul/access roads, TSFs, embankments, foundations, footings, structures etc)
• Previous exposure working on FIFO basis to remote sites
• Strong all-round communication skills and ability to lead others
• Currently Perth based with existing rights to live and work in Australia
• Clean WA C Class Drivers Licence
