We are looking for a high performer to work closely with the founders and play a leading role in growing Akera.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Manager at Akera, you will lead the delivery of complex, high-value engagements with an energy and infrastructure focus.

You will be working with our clients to navigate strategic decisions, lead major bids and procurement activity, negotiate commercial transactions and develop energy and infrastructure projects.

Your work will be diverse, with both asset developers, and the major contractors who design and construct their assets. It will span industries, with a focus on government, renewables (solar / wind / BESS / hydrogen), emerging energy technologies, infrastructure, utilities, mining and defence.

It will be commercially focused, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to large scale projects (multi $bn) in areas such as:

Grid connection of energy generation and load assets

Leading complex energy and infrastructure bids and tenders

Developing and managing major procurement activity

Advising on complex commercial relationships and interfaces (joint ventures, consortia)

Development / project management of energy and infrastructure projects

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a person who is adaptable because of the diversity of the work we do. You must thrive in ambiguous situations, to find solutions and build relationships. You will have:

10+ years of experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors

Commercial capability – to identify and capture value in complex situations

Cross-disciplinary experience - to integrate different specialists

Quality professional networks – to solve problems and support business development

The ability to communicate with clarity and confidence

Collaborative, curious and analytical mindset

Qualifications

The cross-disciplinary nature of our work means success in this role can draw on relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Law, Commerce or Finance.
