TDC Wadeye are recruiting for an experienced chef or cook for a multi-faceted role. You will be assisting the Head Chef in all areas of maintaining the existing Takeaway and Food Services. Candidates should have some remote experience and be prepared to live in Wadeye.

About You

• Strong communication skills, with patience and the ability to work well within a diverse team.
• Experience in short order & bain-marie service.
• Able to juggle multiple priorities (al-a-carte, catering, short order, planning mise en plus) within a busy kitchen up to 45-hours a week.
• High level of attention to detail, particularly in food presentation and cleanliness.
• Must have a solid working knowledge of HACCP and its application and documentation in our large and busy kitchen.
• Positive and approachable attitude, with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to step into a supervisory role where required.
• Experience in Aged Care working with texture modification and allergen plans highly regarded.

Essential Licences / Clearances

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate preferred
• National Police check
• NT Working with Children (Ochre) Card
• Current Flu vaccination (to work in Aged Care)
• NLC Work / Resident permits
• Full working rights
