Position: Chef (Full-Time)

Salary Range: AUD 70,000 to AUD 90,000 per annum

Contract Duration: 2 to 4 years

LJ&JVA HOLDINGS PTY. LTD., trading as Roshni by Raj (Roshni Indian Restaurant), offers a diverse menu showcasing the rich flavour's of North Indian cuisine, with a mix of traditional and innovative dishes. Open 7 days a week for dinner and 6 days for lunch. Roshni is the perfect place for family gatherings and celebrations. Restaurant has a capacity of 100 seats in the dining room and a further 40 seats in function room.

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Must capable to Prepare, cook, and present authentic North Indian dishes with quality and consistency.

· Should collaborate with head chef in menu planning and developing new dishes, balancing tradition with creative flair.

· Must ensure food quality and taste consistency and portion control meet restaurant standards.

· Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, stock management, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen.

· Train, supervise, and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices when required.

· Upholding food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

· Manage kitchen inventory efficiently, monitor supplies, and assist with ordering to support smooth kitchen operations.

· Perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality output.

Required Qualification and Experience:

· A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role & relevant qualifications in Hotel Management or cookery.

· Deep knowledge of traditional North Indian spices, techniques, and recipes.

· Good communication skills and team work skills.

· Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.
