Support Worker is responsible for delivering support services aimed at enhancing the living, social and recreational skills of people with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.

ABOUT YOU

Experience working with NDIS participants and implementing strategies from BSP's to work with behaviours of concern/s.

Experience with Mental Health Support Work is highly regarded

You are reliable and are able to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays

Can travel to other locations as required.

Preferably a member of the LGBTIQA+ community or has lived experience or has friends and allies in the LGBTIQA+ community

First Aid and CPR trained (preferred)

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Empower participants by assisting with community access shifts, encouraging social inclusion and helping them engage confidently in local activities and services.

Provide hands-on support for everyday tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management, promoting participant independence while maintaining a respectful and dignified approach.

Work closely with NDIS participants to implement tailored strategies from their BSPs, ensuring a safe, supportive environment that fosters positive behavioural outcomes.

Work as part of a team of professionals to deliver holistic support, ensuring that all participants receive comprehensive, person-centred care.

Documenting & Progress Note keeping.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

NDIS Screening Check (willing to obtain one).

NDIS Orientation Modules and others.

WWCC- Employee.

Drivers Licence and car insurance.

Ability to commit to a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Smart Phone.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
