DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS
We are currently seeking a Disability Support Worker for casual positions in the Sunshine Coast
Award rates on offer with the possibility of a Salary Sacrifice package up to $18,550 per year to maximise take home pay.

Position – Caboolture
Monday-Friday 4 hours in the afternoon 2:30pm-6:30pm. Requiring a support worker who can assist with school pick up, assist with dance classes, taekwondo, domestic duties, assist with school lunches and dinner preparation.
Position – Banya
House cleaner 2 x 3 hours each week
Vacuum, mop, clean bathrooms and toilets, wipe down surfaces, clean sliding door and other cleaning as requested. Must like children, cats (3) and big dogs (2).
Position – Bli Bli
Wednesday afternoon 3 hours. The support worker will assist with social outings after school and every second week attending psychology appointment. An understanding or experience working with ADHD, ASD.
Position - Cootharaba
Specific role for an experienced female support worker to assist with community access and domestic duties around a small property. Must like dogs, horses and chickens, getting your hands dirty, working as part of a team and you must be resilient. Day shifts Monday to Friday with some occasional weekend day & overnight in home respite available.
Position– Maleny
Wednesday for 3 hours (face to face)- preferably 10am to 1pm, however is negotiable. Monday 1 hour (anytime via phone) Life Admin - Assistance with planning week, making appointments, placing appointments on calendar/wall planner, reading and responding to emails, assistance with budgeting, putting funds away for bills, placing due date of bills on calendar. Work Search - assistance with keeping appointments with employment support provided and actively looking for work or opportunities to start own business. Family support - Guidance with being a new dad. Confidant - be a trusted person this man can confide in.
Position - Minyama
4 hours per week, the 4 hours per week can be in one shift or split across 2 x 2-hour shifts. Days and times are flexible but NOT Mondays. Home assistance with cleaning, washing and meal prep.
Position – Mooloolaba
Wednesday 3pm - 6pm. Looking for a young male or female support worker who can pick up from school then look for ideas and fun activities to encourage exercise and healthy outdoor experiences. Some healthy food prep would be involved. Hours can increase over the school holidays. Experience with children with ASD.
Position – Mooloolaba #2
Thursday 3-6pm. Looking for a younger female support worker to collect from school and help with her executive functioning, especially around the organisation in her space at home and then possible skill development out in the community to assist with social engagement. Hours can increase over school holidays. Experience with children with ASD.
Position – Mountain Creek
Wednesday 3pm-6pm, possibility for shifts on other days. Looking for a young male support worker (around 20-26yrs) who loves outdoor activities such as basketball, the beach, surfing, and golf.
The support worker must be caring and show sensitivity towards and understanding of participants' needs. Also needs to be outgoing, friendly and confident.
Position – Mountain Creek #2
Saturday shift for approx. 6hrs, times to be confirmed. Looking for a support worker that is into motor cross/dirt bikes/ motor bikes. The participant is requiring a social support, male, that ideally has his own bike and can go out with participant. Participant is currently purchasing a bike (Hybrid dirt bike that can go on the road).
Position – Nambour
Saturday 4 hours (during soccer season - times vary), then Monday 4 hours from 9.30am. Assisting participant to get to weekly soccer games on the coast and supporting participant while there. Some assistance with light housework and social outing. Monday - Assisting with light house duties before community access (op shopping) and lunch out.
Position - Nirimba
We are seeking an experienced female Disability Support Worker to assist a mother with her four children before and after school and with appointment during the day each Wednesday – 8 to 9 hours each day.
Assistance with getting children ready for school/ working on their independence skills/ dropping to school and assisting with therapy appointments. Assistance with picking child up from school, working on their independence skills, meal prep, accompanying on activities in the community
The ideal candidates will have experience supporting people with autism spectrum disorder, working with children (or being a parent), with non-verbal children using communication devises. You will be supported in your role by a team leader, behaviour practitioner and relevant therapists.
Opportunity for some weekend work as needed and to cover other days during the week if other supports are on leave.
Position – Parrearrara
Thursday - 8.30am to 11.30am increasing to 12.30pm. Supporting a man in his late 50's who has suffered a series of strokes, the participate is mobile. Shift will require the support worker to assist the participate in something physical, something to stimulate his mind and prepare something healthy to eat. He enjoys going to the gym, learning the guitar, surfing, cycling, walking his old dog and playing board games.
Position – Rosemount
1 x 5-hour shift afternoon, day negotiable. Participant needs assistance with helping them become involved in community e.g. acting classes, social studio and workplace experience. Ideally experience with ASD, ADHD, depression.

We are seeking Disability Support Workers to support individuals with a disability to live a meaningful and fulfilling life and to help deliver accessible, compassionate, reliable and high-quality services to participants. Your duties with SCILL will vary greatly, depending on the person you are supporting, and will include lifestyle support, daily living support, community access, healthcare support etc.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Excellent communication and listening skills.
High level of initiative & great problem-solving skills.
Have demonstrated an ability to view people with disability as valued individuals with human rights.
Are committed to a person-centred approach.
Certificate in disability work, aged care or desire to obtain.
Smartphone with internet access and ability to send short reports as emails.
Current NDIS Worker Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
Current Working with Children’s Card (or be willing to obtain)
Current First Aid Certificate with CPR (or be willing to obtain)
National Police check obtained within the last 12 months.
Valid Queensland Driver licence and access to registered, insured vehicle.
Able to work in Australia with no restrictions on hours.
Can commit to the same time and days each week
