About the Role:
As a Purchasing Analyst, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day procurement activities while contributing to broader national supply chain goals. This includes managing purchase orders, supplier communications, freight coordination, and inventory planning. You'll play a key role in ensuring uninterrupted operations, timely deliveries, and data-driven procurement decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute end-to-end purchasing activities across local and international suppliers
• Prepare and manage accurate purchase orders in line with demand forecasts
• Analyse freight costs and optimize logistics in collaboration with freight forwarders
• Maintain compliance with internal approval processes and procurement documentation
• Track inventory levels to ensure national stock holding targets are met
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews and negotiations
• Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Warehouse) to support operations
• Support new product development by ensuring timely procurement of samples and trial orders
• Conduct regular procurement data analysis and reporting for process improvements

What You'll Bring

• 3–5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally with import (FCL) experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of procurement systems (ERP), with experience in Sage X3 highly regarded
• Familiarity with international trade terms (Incoterms), freight handling, and supplier logistics
• Analytical and negotiation skills with a keen eye for cost efficiencies
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure
• Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
