This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Group People & Culture team. Our mission is to create exceptional employee experiences and support our team to bring authenticity, joy, playfulness and love to what they do. You will work closely with our People & Culture Manager, People & Culture Co-ordinator in SA, Recruitment Co-ordinator and WHS Co-ordinators in both states. (VIC/SA)
About the role:
First point of contact for general HR enquiries, escalate as needed.
Administer and maintain HRIS (Employment Hero). Co-ordinate system training and ongoing support for users.
Maintain accurate employee records, co-ordinate employment changes and manage employment contracts.
Administer onboarding and offboarding processes.
Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings and shortlisting candidates. Support the People & Culture Manager in building talent pools to meet workforce needs.
Assist the Payroll Officer with fortnightly payroll time and attendance enquiries and processing.
Administer staff training requirements, including book training programs and maintain training records.
Support People & Culture initiatives such as events, surveys and recognition programs.
Support managers with probation review follow ups.
Manage the Group HR support inbox.
Manage compliance requirements, such as police, pre-employment medical and visa checks.
About you:
Must love dogs!
Have at least two years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
A diploma or degree in Human Resources or similar discipline.
Experience using Employment Hero or similar programs.
Exceptional administration skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Resilience, a hands-on approach and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Sound knowledge of relevant Fairwork requirements, awards and agreements.
Payroll administration experience is essential.
A satisfactory police check is required.
