How you will make a difference
These roles combine knowledge and expertise in communications, stakeholder engagement, community engagement, and public participation. You will provide expert advice, support, and project liaison to key stakeholders. Core responsibilities include shaping and delivering communication and engagement strategies for priority initiatives, managing end-to-end stakeholder and community engagement processes, supporting program planning, and contributing to internal capability-building and business improvement efforts across engagement functions.
No two days in this role will be the same. The ideal candidates will have the ability to pivot based on the priority of the day and apply their technical and transferrable skills to deliver on specific engagement priorities, including but not limited to complex project engagement planning and execution, and delivery of strategic citywide and targeted community engagement campaigns across all departments of the City.

Proven expertise in strategic guidance, assistance, and project coordination for key stakeholders.
Skilled in evaluating and enhancing stakeholder and community engagement strategies and communication plans.
Ability to analyse data and statistical results, and report on insights and findings to inform decision making.
Proven expertise in developing and managing complex, large community engagement plans to achieve strategic results.
Strong understanding of stakeholder and community engagement principles and processes.
Proven ability to advise on community engagement and stakeholder management.
Proven ability to provide strategic advice and effectively liaise with key internal and external stakeholders in dynamic project environments.
Ability to leverage IAP2 principles, City insights, and technical expertise to advise key internal stakeholders and promote continuous improvement.
Experience in developing and managing stakeholder and community engagement strategies across disciplines.
Effective in communicating and implementing changes across multiple disciplines.
High-level written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse professionals.
Team player with the ability to thrive in a multi-skilled team environment.
Self-motivated and demonstrated initiative, creativity and the ability to foster enthusiasm among fellow staff.
