About the role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Analyst in the Customer Systems Development team.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering system enhancement, maintenance, and support services for the Water Corporation’s suite of customer systems. You’ll be a technical specialist responsible for production support, review and coordinate solution design and delivery and subject matter expertise for the Corporation’s suite of customer systems and the business areas the systems enable.

About you:

There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV;

  • Tertiary level qualifications in technology related discipline
  • Considerable experience in the implementation and delivery of one or more business applications support/development functions within a large commercially focussed state-wide organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of application development lifecycle and phases.
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a high pressure / time critical environment.
  • Highly developed organisational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Diagnostic, Troubleshooting, and technical skills to triage application and/or integration related issues.
  • Significant experience with ITIL, SDLC, ISTQB & IREB frameworks & best practices.

What the role will involve

  • Monitor and manage the ongoing stability, efficiency, and performance of customer system’s portfolio of applications and services.
  • Engage with business stakeholders and external service providers to develop clear requirements and collaborate on solution designs to address general and complex business requirements.
  • Ensure privacy and security are front-and-centre in everything we deliver.
  • Configure and/or coordinate development, testing and documentation of approved system changes for both enhancements and system maintenance following ITIL best practices.
  • Provide second level “centre of expertise” support and advice regarding queries for a range of customer systems.
  • Maintain relationships with assigned business representatives and external service providers.
  • Mentor and coach Analysts as part of their ongoing development, to ensure Customer Systems has adequate skills coverage across all supported systems.
  • Undertake a lead role on key initiatives or projects
  • Lead and support the implementation of continuous improvement within Customer Systems for the delivery of services.
