About the opportunity

Are you an experienced communications and engagement officer looking to deliver great outcomes for community health?

Health Infrastructure is recruiting a Senior Officer, Communications and Engagement to join the capital project team for the Albury Wodonga Regional Hospital project. At times the role will also support other capital projects across the business as required.

The Senior Officer Communications and Engagement is an interesting and diverse role which will assist the Communications and Engagement Manager to plan, implement and evaluate effective communication and engagement strategies, activities and messages for project stakeholders and the community to enhance project and agency outcomes.

The role will interact with a broad range of stakeholders to develop productive and collaborative relationships including, but not limited to the project partners, local health staff and consumers, local residents and businesses, community representatives, local government officers and state government agencies.

The role is a contract role for a four-year period. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

Travel is required to the Albury Hospital campus on a regular basis approximately once a month. Travel to the St Leonards, Sydney office will be on an as needs basis. The successful candidate can be based in Sydney or near the Albury Hospital campus.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

About you

The role requires excellent communication and engagement expertise including community engagement, high-level stakeholder management and issues management.

No two days are the same and you will be a flexible, collaborative team player with a strong customer service focus who looks for innovative opportunities to engage communities and stakeholders.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you show a high degree of initiative, are highly organised, and outcomes-focused.

You will be adept at navigating a high profile, complex and politically sensitive environment, and establishing efficient inter-agency and stakeholder working relationships.

Experience using Have your Say platform, GreenArrow and website content management systems will be beneficial.

IAP2 qualifications will be highly regarded
