Please Note

Due to the nature of this role, occasional morning, evening, weekend, and public holiday work may be required to meet operational demands. You will also be required to travel to various work sites to participate in construction projects

Key Responsibilities

Cut wood joints, shape, and fit timber parts for structures and fittings

Construct and install fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard

Assemble prepared timber into structures and fittings for installation

Interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation methods.

Cut materials and assemble/nail cut and shaped components

Install fascia panels, exterior cladding, doors, and window frames

Perform repairs on existing fittings

Select and purchase required timbers and materials and prepare layout plans

Repair and renovate wooden structures by removing and replacing damaged or deteriorated timber.

May construct and install formwork for concrete structures as required

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Carpenter

Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification

Excellent time management and organisational skills

High attention to detail and craftsmanship

Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment

Strong initiative, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills

Effective leadership and communication abilities

Commitment to workplace safety

Ability to take direction, provide guidance, and mentor others
