Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised part time Human Resources Officer with a strong focus on end-to-end recruitment to support the growth of our cleaning operations. This role is essential to ensuring our workforce is skilled, reliable, and aligned with our company values. You will be responsible for managing recruitment processes across multiple sites and maintaining a positive candidate and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, reference checking, and onboarding
Develop and maintain talent pipelines for cleaning staff and site supervisors
Liaise with operations managers to understand staffing needs and scheduling requirements
Coordinate and conduct employee inductions and ensure compliance with onboarding requirements (e.g., police checks, working rights, WHS training)
Maintain accurate HR and recruitment records using internal systems
Assist with workforce planning and staff allocations across multiple contracts
Ensure all recruitment and selection practices comply with relevant legislation and company policies
Participate in career fairs, recruitment events, and other sourcing initiatives
Support broader HR functions as required, including performance management, training coordination, and policy implementation
Maintain current knowledge of employment legislation and compliance requirements.
Key Requirements
Previous experience in high-volume recruitment, preferably in cleaning, facilities, or labour hire industries
Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, employment compliance, and onboarding procedures
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/recruitment systems
A current driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred)
Desirable
Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration
Knowledge of relevant modern awards (e.g., Cleaning Services Award 2020)
Exposure to workforce management systems (e.g., Deputy, Employment Hero, or similar)
Understanding of diversity and inclusion principles.
Experience in managing compliance with Fair Work Act and WHS regulations.
Experience in the cleaning and/or soft services industries.
