Due to increased workload, a well-regarded NSW Government agency is seeking an experienced HR Systems Officer to support the effective operation of HR systems and analytics during a peak period.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with HR and/or payroll systems and must be available to work onsite at either the Sydney CBD or Parramatta office at least three days per week.

The Job…..
Reporting through to the HR Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• First point of contact for HR systems, payroll, and establishment queries.
• Maintain and verify employee, position, and establishment data in HRIS.
• Collect, clean, and validate HR data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Generate reports, visualisations, and insights to support decision-making.
• Monitor data quality and coordinate corrections with stakeholders.
• Support system improvements and contribute to reporting enhancements.
• Assist with payroll system issues and employee enquiries.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in a similar role within an HR and/or Payroll team.
• Previous experience with SAP is highly preferred.
• Proven expertise in HRIS, establishment data management, and handling HR datasets.
• Proficient in HR reporting tools and data analysis, with the ability to derive insights for workforce decision-making.
• Strong understanding of payroll systems, workflows, and user access, with experience resolving payroll-related queries.
