Position Overview
The Human Resources (HR) Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day HR operations at Doctors & Co, ensuring smooth implementation of HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, and compliance with Fair Work and workplace regulations. This role plays a key part in assisting managers and employees with HR-related queries, coordinating recruitment processes, and supporting HR initiatives to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in advertising job vacancies, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and managing the onboarding process for new employees.
• Employee Relations Support: Act as a point of contact for employee enquiries regarding HR policies, workplace rights, and general employment conditions.
• HR Policy Implementation: Assist in rolling out and maintaining HR policies, ensuring they align with Fair Work legislation and organisational objectives.
• Payroll & Leave Administration: Support the payroll team in processing employee leave requests, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with entitlements.
• Performance Management Support: Assist managers with performance review processes and provide guidance on employee development plans.
• Workplace Compliance & WHS: Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and support HR compliance initiatives, including audits and reporting.
• Training & Development Coordination: Organise training programs, maintain training records, and assist in professional development initiatives.
• HR Data & Reporting: Maintain employee records, generate HR reports, and provide data insights to assist with workforce planning.
• Conflict Resolution Assistance: Support the HR team in managing workplace disputes, grievances, and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
• HR System Management: Maintain HR information systems (HRIS) to ensure employee records are accurate and up to date.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within the healthcare or professional services industry.
• Knowledge of Fair Work legislation, employment contracts, and workplace policies.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and payroll administration.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements.
